(4) Furazolidone or MAOIs (such as phenelzine) because the risk of severe high blood pressure, fever, headache & decreased heart rate may be increased. (5) Meperidine, norepinephrine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (i.e. fluoxetine), sympathomimetics (eg, pseudoephedrine), or tricyclic antidepressants (such as desipramine); because the risk of their side effects may be increased by this generic medication.
